Properties
Colorless or light yellow transparent liquid. Pure aniline is a colorless transparent liquid with a special smell. 1g of this product can be dissolved in 28.6mL water and 15.7mL boiling water. It can be miscible with ethanol, ether, benzene and other organic solvents and can volatilize with water vapor. The solubility of aniline in water increases with the increase of temperature. When the temperature is higher than 167^5℃, aniline and water can be miscible in any proportion. The solubility of aniline in aniline salt is very large. 50% aniline hydrochloride can be miscible with aniline in any proportion. Aniline is easily oxidized in oxygen in the air, light irradiation or high temperature. Preparation method Aniline is prepared by reducing nitrobenzene with hydrogen in the presence of a catalyst. Use Standard sample for measuring refractive index. Detection of halogens, chromates, vanadates, nitrites and carboxylic acids. Used in pharmaceutical industry and organic synthesis. Aniline is mainly used as a chemical intermediate in dyes, agriculture, polymers and rubber industries. It is also used as a solvent and has been used as an anti-knock compound for gasoline. Used in synthetic dyes, rubber additives, drugs, photographic chemicals, isocyanates, pesticides.
Aniline is one of the most important amine substances. It is mainly used to make dyes, drugs, resins, and can also be used as a rubber vulcanization accelerator. It can also be used as a black dye.
Its derivative methyl orange can be used as an indicator for acid-base titration.
